Ultiverse Secures $4 Million in Funding for its AI-Enhanced Web3 Gaming Platform

In a recent private token sale, Ultiverse, the AI-enhanced gaming platform, successfully secured $4 million in funding to advance its Web3 game production and publishing capabilities. The funding round was led by IDG Capital, with participation from prominent investors such as Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, MorningStar Ventures, Superscrypt's Jacob Ko, Taiko, ZetaChain, Manta Network, and DWF Ventures. This funding has elevated Ultiverse's valuation to an impressive $150 million.

Frank Ma, CEO of Ultiverse, expressed excitement about the capital injection, stating, "The capital allows us to accelerate our vision of building the most intuitive AI-powered platform for Web3 game creation." Looking ahead, Ultiverse plans to release Ulti-Pilot, an immersive portal powered by AI, aiming to provide users with diverse gaming experiences within the universe.

Ultiverse stands out by integrating AI and blockchain, promoting gaming interoperability. The platform plans to launch Gaming Launchpad, Restake Rollup, and additional decentralized applications (dApps) in the near future. Jimmy Liu, Ultiverse's co-founder, emphasized the importance of infrastructure to deliver incentives and monetization for each game, underlining the need for a closed loop to ensure proper governance token utility.

Since its inception in 2022, Ultiverse has achieved significant milestones, including the launch of its genesis NFT, Electrisheep, with a market cap of $30 million. The introduction of the Ultiverse Main World, supported by AI, marked a pivotal moment, along with the release of AI-powered non-player characters (NPCs) in Terminus PC and Vision Pro versions.

With over 7.3 million registered users as of December 2023, Ultiverse aims to convert Web2 gamers to Web3 gaming. The platform's monthly active users globally stand at 830,000. Ultiverse's diverse partnerships include Binance Labs, Sequoia, DeFiance Capital, Emirates Consortium, GSR Ventures, and Foresight Ventures.

Looking ahead, Ultiverse plans to launch the Ultiverse Main World, Terminus PC, Vision Pro versions, and three AI-powered Web3 dApps—Meta Merge, Terminus City, and CricketFly. The second half of the year is expected to bring the launch of the Ultiverse Gaming Launchpad, Ultiverse Restake Rollup, and three additional dApps.

As Ultiverse moves closer to making gaming interoperable through AI and blockchain, investors are anticipated to hold onto the latest tokens for approximately 18 months. IDG Capital, one of the investors, expressed alignment with Ultiverse's mission, stating, "Ultiverse is leading the Web3 gaming evolution with an all-in-one solution, integrating AI into game development to cut costs and decrease development times, while helping in user acquisition and engagement by rewarding gamers."

Ultiverse's strategic shift to a line between midcore and casual games aligns with changing attention spans in the gaming community. The company is dedicated to building a platform and infrastructure for launching Web3 games, maintaining resilience and adaptability in the dynamic blockchain gaming environment.
